Airline Seatbelts

I flew down to Florida with my sister this week. We had a blast! It was absolutely relaxing, wonderful and a sack of bean, ya know? The whole works…

Anyway…I always get nervous flying, because I worry the seat belt won’t close without an extender. Let me say, I’m right at the brink there, at that crossing over point. I can get it to close, but it’s not a quick and happy snap to close!

Flying down, the few days before I’d been more careful about my consumption, so closing the seatbelt was an easier journey….flying home on the other hand was another story!

I sit my rear down, immediately pulling the seat belt up and extending it to it’s full length…I go stretch it across me and snap, and I had to SUCK, and I do mean SUCK it in to get it to close! The funny thing is, once it’s on…I actually have a bit of room. (A bit, not a lot!)

I had a couple of drinks, and probably ate more liberally than at home. Oy! That’s my tipping point…when the seatbelt doesn’t want to close without an extension, I’m aware I need to reel it in a bit. I’m back to pretzels over cookies, and Diet Coke at night as opposed to say a Strawberry Daiquiri by a pool side bar! LOL

Either way– I’m now more aware, because this is the closest I’ve been to NOT closing it. I got it snapped, but I was glad it was a done deal. Yes, I’m aware they sell seat belt extenders. The point is, I’m not mentally prepared to use one!
