Why I Am So Over Life Updates

The last thing I want to be writing right now is yet another life update. But after another couple of months of unexplained absence from the blog and most of my social media, I don’t really feel right about jumping back in without explaining to my regular readers what has been going on.

I did manage maintain social media for a while, but honestly life has just been consumed by other things and I didn’t have the energy to even put towards that. So I had to decide what priorities were. And there has been a lot of things happening in life recently that just had to be my priority.

I honestly don’t remember how much of this got covered in my last blog post when I tried to come back last time, so I will just start in the beginning. If you do follow me on social media, then you know at least part of what happened. I did adopt a new kitten. What you may not know is I ended up adopting a second kitten.

After my cat Ophelia passed away this winter we were not planning on adopting any more for a while, but we soon realized Lady Catterly was having a harder time with it that we had expected. So we adopted kitten number one.

Sophie

Her name is Sophie, and she does the best Gene Simmons impersonations. The first week we had Sophie things went really well between her and Lady Catterly. It was the next week when things started to change,  and Sophie became very aggressive.

I have had a lot of people tell me this was normal for kittens, and some degree of high energy and kitten play is indeed normal. But when I say she was being aggressive, it was including things you typically see only when cats are going after prey. We kept hoping it was going to get better, but after several weeks of it just getting worse And it got so bad, we were really worried we would have to rehome her.

So we did a lot research and talking to people again. A friend who helps run a rescue organization suggested the best thing to do was to get another kitten who was about the same age and size. She said that occasionally there are kittens who are just so far above average on energy, that when paired with a cat that doesn’t want to play as much as they do it can lead to the kitten becoming aggressive.

My husband and I talked it over. Neither of us were opposed to getting another kitten. And it wasn’t as if we hadn’t had three cats before. So I went on search of another kitten close to Sophie’s age.

Luna Lovekitty

So that is how we ended up with our second kitten or third cat. And I named her Luna Lovekitty, which if you are a Harry Potter fan you will get the reference.

But you are at this point probably wondering how getting new cats kept me from blogging. I promise, I am getting to that part, and it’s not just the cats.

So we did the slow introduction thing again with Luna Lovekitty, just as I have with every cat I have ever introduced into my home. Luna had been fixed just a few days before we adopted her, so we wanted to make sure to take it extra slow and only let her out a couple of hours at a time so she wouldn’t strain herself. But after just the first time out playing with Sophie I noticed that Luna’s incisions where she had been spayed were leaking. (Previously I had also noticed when we adopted her that her incision spot was lumpy, for lack of a better term. At the time I just thought that maybe her stitched had been done oddly, but didn’t think anything else about it until this moment.)

Of course this happens all late on a Friday night. Along with it being a weekend, the Humane Society where we adopted her was having phone and messaging issues, so getting ahold of them was not possible. We took her to our regular vet in an emergency appointment.

It turned out that Luna had an infection from the stitches they used. My vet said occasionally that cats react to the type of material they use in typical stitches. So they gave her some antibiotics and told us to contact the humane society. She needed to have her surgery redone with different stitches, and there was concern that the lumps we were feeling in her tummy was actually a hernia. In the mean time she had to be kept separate and calm. We also had to clean and disinfect the area where her stitches were several times a day. The topper was they wanted all this to happen for two weeks.

And if you want to see the saddest thing in the world…

…it would definitely be a cat in a head cone.

Luna’s got her surgery scheduled, she was in and out in one day. They replaced the stitches with what they called meta plates. However, I thought they looked like just regular staples to me. The one thing to be thankful for was that it was not a hernia she had. It was from the allergic reaction, a cyst like structure had formed under the skin. They were able to remove that at the same time they did everything else.

Unfortunately, that was not the end of Luna’s struggles. She has since also had a stomach bug that she had to take medicine for. She has had a really hard start to life. Thankfully things are getting better for her, but taking care of her and the other kitties did consume a lot of my time. At one point all three of them were sick and on medicine, and they all had separate vet appointments. It really was all I could do just to keep up with them and their health care.

But as I said, it has not been just the cats that has taken me away from the blog. Amongst all of the time I have spent taking care of the cats health, I always have the issues with mine. While I am definitely feeling better than I was last year since I am in clear from the B-12 deficiency, I will always have my fibromyalgia to contend with. And in general our weather has been cold and rainy until the last couple of weeks, so I have had at least a couple of bad days a week. Pair that with a couple of major sinus infections that lasted longer than they should, and it really takes time away from what you are trying to do.

I have also had a lot of positive things keeping me busy. I believe in one my last blog post I had mentioned that Steampunk Symposium was coming up. That happened, and a lot of fun was had by all. My friend Jenny and I did do a panel. I still intend to share a recap of that here.

We also keep finding things that need to be finished with our house before my niece moves in with us at the end of this month. So while I keep feeling like we are almost done with what has to be finished, we aren’t really finished. In fact there is a lot to be done even after she moves in, we just have a list of things that must be done before she is here. At the moment I have am trying to clear out the closet of the room my nice is moving into. That of course means I have lots of things I will be adding to my Poshmark closet if you want to check that out.

And we have planned a vacation for this year, or I should say we are still in the midst of planning. We will be going to London this August. Do expect to see some vacation tie in posts again this year, both before and after the trip. Just like last year, some of them will be clothing related while others will be centered around other aspects of travel. If there is something you would like me to cover specifically, or if you have a question, make sure to send me a message.

My schedule at this point seems to be getting back to a normal pace, so I hope this time I will be actually able to consistently blog.

What I Wore On Vacation – A Plus Size Look Book

Vacation was a bit of a struggle, and I didn’t get as many pictures taken as I had intended, but I did get did get some pictures of a few outfits. So I put a plus size vacation clothing look book together for you. Not everything is going to still be available from the original seller, but we will talk about that more as we come to it.

Our trip included stops in the following:

  • Wattsville, Alabama
  • New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Orange Beach, Alabama
  • Helen, Georgia

So I tried to pack a wardrobe that was stylish, comfortable, and cool. I included a couple of nicer outfits for dinner at nicer restaurants we had planned. But overwhelmingly I packed clothing that would keep me cool because everyone kept telling me how hot it was going to be. Ironically, as it turned, it was hotter where I live than at any of the place we visited. But I am still happy with what I packed.

Torrid dress paired with Propet Sandals and Multi Sac HandbagThis was from the first full day I was in New Orleans. It’s also probably the most put together I looked during my whole trip at any of the stops we made. I mean I actually did my hair this day, and my accessories go with my outfit. On vacation for me that is my typical, but this vacation was anything but typical.

The dress is from Torrid. It is their Olive V-Neck Tiered Challis Mini Dress. That particular dress is not available at the moment, but you never know with Torrid. They often bring items back. Or alternatively they do have similar items. Currently the dress closest in style to what I am wearing is their Olive Tie Sleeve Gauze Skater Dress. But there is only a few sizes left online as I type this, so if you want it grab it before its gone. My dress is a size 2, which is pretty much my standard size at Torrid in most things.

The shoes are the Propet Women’s Aurora Wedge Sandal in Olive. This is the same shoe I showed in my last Amazon Prime Wardrobe Try On, just in a different color option. This shoe is very comfortable and comes in a wide range of sizes and widths.

The purse is from Multi Sac Handbags, it is one of the purses they sent me last year. If you want to hear know more about why I like Multi Sac and how I ended up with them sending me some purses, you can read about it in the Giveaway I did with Multisac last year. This bag I have here is their Lorraine Crossbody in two-tone vinyl(faux leather). This color combo is Pony and Coffee. I can’t find this color on their website, so I linked to the black version. But you can most likely find this color combo in one of the stores they sell in.

Asos dress with Avenue shoes and Multisac handba

One of the last days we were in New Orleans we took a bus tour and then walked through the Market. So I made sure to wear something breezy and comfortable.

This dress is from ASOS Curve, but I didn’t buy it from ASOS. I had seen it on their website some time ago and they were already sold out of anything close to my size. I ended up finding it on Poshmark last fall, and I bought it to wear this summer. I have talked about Poshmark here on the blog before, I really think it’s a great way to find deals and items you missed out on when they were in the store. I typically size down to an 18 at ASOS, but I asked a few questions from the seller and found out this ran a bit small. The one I am wearing is a size 22. It was a bit big and I probably would have been okay with a 20, but I think this worked well enough.

I both sell and buy on Poshmark as do a lot of bloggers. If you want to check out what I have up for sale on my Poshmark closet you can click here, or it is always linked in the main menu at the top of every page. You can find a lot of great deals, and some not so great deals, on a wide variety of brands including ASOS Curve (This link should take you to all the ASOS Curve available on Poshmark). Most items are either new or gently used. If you don’t already have an account on Poshmark, then by using this link you can get a $5 off your first purchase. If it asks you for a code use KARENMSMITH77.

With the dress I have paired with it the same handbag as above. My shoes are from the Avenue. They are their Farrah Braided Gladiator Wedge Sandal. They come in two colors, black or brown. They are on clearance now, and not many sizes left, but if they have your size these are selling for a steal. To finish it off I have on a pair of 50mm silver hoop earrings.

City Chic Maxi Dress

This was taken at our last stop in Helen, Georgia. So it was kind of backlit and my husband forgot to put the backlighting setting on, but I thought the picture looked kind of cool anyway. So I decided to share my picture but I will also share the stock photo below so you can see the details of the print.

City Chic Hidden Foliage Dress

This is a City Chic dress. It is their Hidden Foliage Maxi Dress. This style of dress comes in several patterns, but this particular one is currently on clearance and all sizes seem to be available. If you like the style but think you would prefer a different pattern they also have the Wild Flower Maxi Dress, the Electric Rose Maxi Dress, and the Wild Jungle Maxi Dress.

I didn’t really add anything other than shoes to this dress. The day that I wore this we were mainly out taking some short walks around a lake and grabbing lunch at a small store. Not really the kind of area or kind of activities you get really dressed up for. The shoes I have on were super comfortable, like straight out of the box they were comfortable. They are also from the Avenue. It is their Fran Braided Slingback Wedge Sandal in Bronze. It is also available in black, but since this shoe is on clearance sizes are limited as I am writing this.

If you see this and think I was stuck on dresses and cold shoulders, you’re not entirely wrong. But I did have more variety than this in my wardrobe, however my energy and a lot of rain conspired against me when it came to taking pictures of those other outfits. I do feel though that these three outfits give a good overview of my vacation style. And really I think I always love dresses and cold shoulders.

Tell me in the comments what your vacation style is.

All Dress April 2018 – Week One

All Dress April

All Dress April

Week one of All Dress April has finally come to an end, so it must be time for a recap. These always seem to be some of my most popular posts, so I decided to make a couple of changes this year. Changes that I hope are for the better.

You all know that I live with a few chronic pain conditions, some of which are affected by the weather, especially in the winter and early spring. So in previous years this has left me not posting about one to two days a week. In an effort to not leave these spots open, and to be able to share more items with you, I will be sharing photos previously taken but not posted for one reason or another.

Day 1

Mod print dress from Tiana B on Day 1 of All Dress April

This is a Tiana B. dress in a mod 60’s style print. I really love this style, and this dress is so comfy and great for minimal effort days. I paired it with a pair of wide calf boot’s I got from Zulily’s Journey Collection. I have had both of these pieces for quite some time, so I don’t think either of these items are still currently available, but you can get the same style of dress from Tiana B. as well as dresses in similar prints.

Day 2

Foil Leaf print wiggle dress from Avenue

This was a bad pain day for me, and so this was the first case of using a previously taken photo.

This dress is from the Avenue. It is their Metallic Floral Scuba Dress. It is a recent purchase, but unfortunately it sold out fast. I guess everyone loved it. It is definitely in a bodycon/wiggle style, but like most of the dresses from Avenue it is made to be more forgiving of any extra curves and rolls you may have in the middle. While they no longer have this exact dress, they do still have a similar dress. It is their Scroll Flocked Scuba Dress (limited sizes left in this dress).

The shoes I have paired with it are the Bandolino Women’s Mylah Peep-Toe Pump. These were actually the shoes I wore for my wedding, and I was kind of surprised to even find limited sizes of these still hanging around.

Day 3

Plus size maxi dress bought on Amazon

This is the Roiii Boho Floral Sleeveless Maxi Dress I got for the Hidden Gems of Amazon series I do here on the blog. Many of you loved the way this dress looked, but at the time sizes were selling out. I am happy to say it looks like they are finally restocked now. Sizes go up to a 3XL. For information on the fit and sizing make sure to check out the original post this dress appeared in.

Day 4

Dress from Boohoo Plus and leggings from Simply Be paired with Booties from the Avenue

This is the Plus Megan Tartan Frill Sleeve Smock Dress from Boohoo. I have it paired with black lace leggings. I bought mine at Simply Be a few years ago, but very similar ones are available now on Amazon. The booties are a pair of Cloud Walkers from the Avenue that I got a few years ago.

Day 5

Plus size Vintage inspired dress from Lindy Bop

For day five I went with something more to the roots of All Dress April, meaning something vintage style. This dress is from Lindy Bop. It is their Alanis Swing Dress in Black Polka Dots. (Just a note the link is to the UK site, but you change it to your country of preference. If you are in the USA, you can order from the US site or the UK site. I prefer the UK site because the sizing is easier. Don’t forget to change the currency as well.)

I have it paired with a basic black crinoline. and pair of kitten heels I bought on eBay a long time ago. The shoes are no longer available in the kitten heel size, but you can steel find the pump version from many different sellers on eBay still.

Day 6

Faux wrap dress from IGIGI plus size designer brand worn on day 6 of all dress april

This is the Truda Dress from IGIGI. It is a faux wrap dress. It is no longer available in this pattern, but the style is still available. If you follow me on my Instagram, then you already know that I don’t really care for the way this dress fits me. I love all of my other IGIGI dresses, but this one just doesn’t hang on me right, and I think it would suit a different body type better. It will most likely be going up on my Poshmark listings for sale relatively soon. So if you love this print and are also a size 20, make sure you are following me on there. If you are just joining Poshmark for the first time use my code KARENMSMITH77 and they will give you a $5 shopping credit.

The shoes are from Aerosoles, and I have had them for year. They are super comfortable as most Aerosoles are. But this particular style is not available any more.

Day 7

Trying out Fashion Nova Curve on day 7 of All Dress April

So if you didn’t know, skirts are also acceptable for All Dress April. So that left me able to also participate in my friend Jamie’s (aka retrocutie) style challenge Band Tee Saturday. Graphic tees are also totally acceptable for her challenge. Make sure you check out her blog No Delusions Of Grandeur too.

So since so many people had expressed interest in Fashion Nova over the last couple of months, I wanted to bring you a look from them. So both my skirt and top are from Fashion Nova. I have on the Kiss Me On The Lips Sequin Tee and the Charmer Bandage Skirt in Light Pink. I am sure that a lot of you would like me to go into my thoughts on Fashion Nova right now, but I don’t think I could put everything I need to say here. But don’t worry I promise there will be a blog post coming within the month about Fashion Nova.

The shoes I have on are a pair of velvet sneakers in light pink. The brand is Wanted and the style is called Valance. They are so comfy, and available in other color options.

If you didn’t see something like this week make sure to keep checking back, there are still 23 more days to go, and that means 23 more looks. Tell me in the comments below what you like, what you didn’t like. I still have some wiggle room on filling request if there is something you guys want to see this month, so make sure to let me know that as well.

Are Apps The New Ebay? Three Places To Shop For Plus Size Clothing and Beauty Products That Will Make You Forget Ebay Was Even A Thing

For years I have been both an online seller and buyer. Most of those experiences, like for many people looking to either sell or to purchase a good bargain, were spent with eBay. While I still do occasionally buy or sell a few items on eBay, over the last few years it has been on a serious decline for both. I have tried out buying and selling on a few other websites, I have even tried out some Facebook groups, but most of them just don’t have the exposure or amount of people involved to really have the potential most people are looking for.

theres-an-app-for-that

But late last year I really went on a search for new places to buy and sell and I came across some apps people were talking about. I decided to give them a try, and well they are pretty great. I am sure some of you are already using them, but some of you probably have never heard of them. So I am here to tell you all about it. And just so you know, there are way more than just three out there, but these are the top three that I feel comfortable recommending.

1. Poshmark

I have been both buying and selling on Poshmark since January of this year. My experience has been overall a positive one. Though I highly recommend if you are going to get into the selling aspect you join a group for help. One like The Best Poshmark Tips Facebook group is good. There are restrictions on what you can sell, so make sure you read everything before listing to sell. I really like that they made it easy to create a widget so I could share my listing and some of my favorite sellers with you guys.

And if you are new to Poshmark, if you sign up using the code JUPTZ you will save $5 off your first purchase. I don’t think there is any kind of minimum purchase requirements either.

I have lots more up for sale than the few items showing in the widget, that is just to give you a preview. But I wanted to also give you an idea of some the things I have bought from other people and what kind of price I paid.

City Chic Spotty Dot Top in Pink

This is the City Chic Spotty Dot Top. I already had one in gray, and had really wanted this pink one for the longest but they were all sold out. I found one in my size new with the tags on it on Poshmark. I paid $15.

Unicorn HandbagI found these unique unicorn clutches on Poshmark. I purchased the silver one, it has a rainbow metallic look to it in person. I paid $19 on Poshmark.

m_565caec4feba1f94a6039b64I needed a tiered lace skirt for the new steampunk costume I put together this year. I found this new with tags Torrid three tier skirt. The seller was originally asking $17, I ended up paying $13.

That is right you can negotiate on Posh. Though here is a solid tip for those looking for a bargain, most sellers don’t mind you asking for a deal but don’t be offensive with your requests and take no for an answer. For instance if a seller just put out a brand new item you think  t’s a little too high, don’t offer less than half their asking price. That is a good way to get blocked by sellers. Most people are already selling items 30% to 50% off the original retail price anyway, and most items on Poshmark are either new or gently used. There are exceptions, so make sure you ask lots of questions before buying if you are unsure of anything.

Poshmark seems pretty fair to both the seller and buyer. When you make a purchase the money goes into a holding account until the transaction is finished. The seller has so many days to ship, if they don’t ship before seven days (though they are encouraged to ship much quicker) the buyer then has the option to cancel their purchase and get a refund. But if the item was shipped on time, when the buyer receives it they have up to three days to inspect it. It is encouraged that you inspect quicker than that, but it is a time allowance for in case you just don’t have time the day you receive. Once you inspect you either release the funds and rate the seller or you tell Poshmark there was an issue. If there is an issue Poshmark has you send the item back to the seller and when they have the item back you get your money back.  It works quite well, and this is my #1 pick for apps to use.

2. Vinted

I signed up for Vinted around the same time I did Poshmark. I haven’t ever listed anything for sale on there, at least not yet. I have bought some things though. It doesn’t look like Vinted has any widgets to share your favorite sellers or anything. But my favorite item I have purchased were these Steve Madden Troopa Boots gently used.

Steve Madden Troopa Boots in Cognac

These retailed for close to $200, but I paid $18 for them on Vinted.

There doesn’t appear to be any code to share for shopping credits, if I find anything different I will update this later.

3. Mercari

I have only recently signed up for Mercari. I haven’t bought or sold anything yet. I decided to sign up because I have heard so many great things from other people I thought it was worth checking out. If you download the app and use the code XMMXCB you will receive $2 off your first purchase.

I thought I would share some things I have found on there that might interest some of you.

Plus Size Top found on Mercari2X UNITY WORLD WEAR WOMAN PULLOVER SHIRT – Seller is just asking $5 plus shipping.

Plus Size BB Dakota Dress found on MercariBB Dakota Lace Sauron Dress in Blue – Seller is asking $10 plus shipping

Plus Size bodycon dress found on MercariNew size 3X – Seller is asking $20 plus shipping.

Plus Size Old Navy dress found on MercariOld Navy Sweater Dress – This is a 4X and the Seller is asking $15 plus shipping.

The items I listed were available to purchase as I was writing this, so I am sorry if they have sold before you saw this. Obviously there are more options available on Mercari in plus sizes than what I have posted here, but I wanted to give you some idea of what is on there.

There is however fewer options in plus sizes here than on the other two apps. But they do have other categories to shop the other apps don’t, like housewares.

Tips For Shopping On Apps

Most people selling on these apps are honest, however people make mistakes and forget to mention things sometimes, and unfortunately there are some people strictly trying to scam you. To make things easy on everyone here are some easy things to make your app shopping experience ten times easier. ask lots of questions.

  •  Read the listing, and then reread it. I can not tell you how many times I have heard people say they were unhappy with purchases, or that it just wasn’t what they expected, but had they read the listing instead of just looking at the title and picture they would have known what to expect.
  •  If you are buying clothing, know your measurements not just your sizing. And ask for measurements. There are no returns on these apps.
  •  Ask lots of questions. If you aren’t sure about something, after you have read the listing, then don’t be afraid to ask. And seller that is being honest with you will happily answer your questions.
  •  Ask for more pictures. If you really like an item but something still doesn’t feel right or they have posted pictures that are hard to see ask for more pictures.
  •  Be patient and courteous to the seller. Try to remember this is not most of these people’s full time jobs. Most people are just selling on their off time to help make ends meet or to clear out their closets. So they aren’t always available to answer your questions immediately.
  •  This is not a yard sale. Haggling on most of these apps is allowed, but don’t offer yard sale prices. Most items are either brand new or like new, so offering someone $5 for an item that was originally $200 is very insulting.
  •  And finally, don’t forget to rate your seller. Keep your ratings based on things like shipping time. Did they answer your questions. Was the item described accurately. So if you receive an item and you decide you just don’t like the way it looks on you, please don’t give the seller a bad rating. You are not rating the item, you are rating the seller and it affects them.

Tips For Selling On Apps

Most buyers are honest and just looking for a good deal. However, just like the occasional seller, there are some buyers who are out to run scams. And if you want to make sure to have done your best as a seller and give the app you are selling through no reason to side against you, then here are some quick tips for selling.

  •  Always be willing to answer questions, even if you have already answered them.
  • Take lots of pictures. Using stock photos are great for details, but always either post or be willing to produce without hesitation actual pictures of your items. This is for both the information of your customer and your own safety of sorts.
  •  Keep a tape measure handy. You can either post measurements in your listing or give them out when asked. I tend to do a mixture. If the brand I am selling is known for being consistent in their sizing I usually wait to be asked. But if I know the sizing is odd for something I will either post it runs small or large, and post measurements.
  •  Be courteous to your buyers. Everyone has bad days, so you may even have someone say things that seem not so nice. Just brush it off and move on. If it’s really bad you can always block them.
  •  Always find out what the rules are for selling and what can be sold on each app or place you are selling.
  • Keep all your records or documentation like pictures and measurements until after you receive a rating from your customer. If for some reason you do have someone open a case against you, you may need it as proof to back up your statements.

I hope these tips help anyone thinking of buying and selling on an app. There really is nothing to worry about, you just need to be informed before buying.

So tell me have you shopped on one of these apps before? Is there another app I didn’t mention you think we should all know about? Have a tip for making shopping easier? Please share in the comments below. And I would love to see some of your favorite purchases.

Retro”fitted” with Lindy Bop

Lindy Bop Dottie Dress

Lindy Bop Dottie Dress

I recently signed up and started selling on a phone app called Poshmark. I will be talking a little more in depth about it and a few other places to sell/shop other than what you might think of as a traditional place to buy in an upcoming post, but for now lets stick to the outfit.

Ever since I listed this dress for sale, I had so many request for pictures of the actual dress on. I usually don’t like to try clothing on and take pictures that I am selling new with tags, especially like in this case where it is a size too small, as there always is a potential for damage to the item. But because of how I came in possession of this particular dress, I knew I could put this one on without harming the fabric. So I decided that I might as well go ahead and put on my makeup and do the most simple retro style hairdo I could manage, and have some fun taking pictures for the blog while I was at it.

Lindy Bop Dottie Dress

The Dress: The “Dottie” dress from Lindy Bop. I am sorry to say this dress is no longer available, but you can purchase a dress I think is very similar in style called the ‘Amie’ Navy Polka Dot Tea Dress. When you visit Lindy Bop’s site, you are able to choose between their US site or their UK site. You can order from either, and while they have essentially the same items, they do occasionally have slightly different stock of sizes available. I personally prefer their UK site as I find the sizing less confusing there. However there are trade offs for both sites. If you purchase from the UK site, the sizing is easier to understand and the pricing is cheaper, however purchasing on the US site we get free shipping and there is less time to wait to get your items.

The Leggings: Mine were purchased at ModCloth a couple of years ago, so again unfortunately I can’t send you directly to that pair. But there is a similar pair available on Full Beauty’s website. You also could achieve the same look with a lace patterned pantyhose.

The Shoes: The shoes were a pair of Cloudwalker Booties I picked up in an Facebook trading group(which will also be in that upcoming article). I don’t think they are available anymore, but they are pretty basic booties. However they are wide width and very comfortable soles. If you aren’t familiar with Cloudwalker, you can get them from The Avenue.

I know these items aren’t available anymore, but I hope everyone still enjoys this in the way that it was intended. One part fashion inspiration, and one part recommendations of places to shop. And always a reminder to keep fashion and beauty fun. If you aren’t having fun with what you put on, then why are you wearing it?

As always I would love to hear your thoughts. Do you want to see more style inspiration pieces? Do you rock vintage looks? Where is your favorite places to get vintage inspired pieces?
