Transitioning Your Wardrobe From Summer To Fall
You spend a lot of money on your wardrobe. Or maybe you’re struggling just to buy one or two new pieces of clothing a year. No matter what your budget, finding a way to make your clothing wearable for a longer period of time is something we all want. If you saw my latest Inside The Dressing Room post a few weeks ago, you have already seen the inspiration and basics of this piece. But I still wanted to share this look fully styled.
First lets talk about the dress that we are transitioning into a fall look.
This is Torrid’s Floral Lace Sundress. Chance’s are some of you may already have this dress or one similar. Or if you are interested in it they still have limited sizes available. You can actually purchase it both on Torrid’s Website or on Amazon.
This is pretty much how I wore it this summer. By itself, just paired with some shoes like these LifeStride Women’s Persephone Wedge Sandal that I am wearing. Sorry you can’t see them super well, my camera got moved a bit while I was taking the pictures.
To transition this dress into fall we just need to add some things.
I paired with it the Plus Size Open Front Cardigan in Cocoa that I picked up in Forever 21. I also changed from the shoes to boots. These are the Avenue’s Rina Wide Buckle Bootie in Tan. You can purchase them on the Avenue’s Website or on Avenue Women’s Rina Wide Buckle Bootie. (Just a note for anyone looking to save some money. I personally bought my boots on Amazon. I was buying the boots only. The actual price is a couple of dollars more on Amazon, but shipping is free. On the Avenue’s website you have to spend $150 to get free shipping, so when I added it up it was cheaper to buy on Amazon.)
Now to add the finishing touch.
I added one of my favorite Jessica Simpson Bags to finish the look. The bag I have is from a couple of years ago, so I don’t think it’s still available. However I think the Jessica Simpson Neilson Fringe Trim Hobo Bag would be equally amazing with this look.
Thanks to the colors in this dress it could be changed up in many ways, not just for fall, but spring as well. You could easily change the cardigan to a bright coral and a put on a pair of closed toed pumps to be spring ready.
I would love to see how some of you have transitioned your outfits for fall. You can post them in the comments here or tag me on social media. If you tag me on Instagram I may even repost some of your beautiful pictures.
