Looking for a plus size bathing suit? Are you hard to fit? I found the coolest site I had to share with you. It’s for people who are maybe two different sizes. Ever try on a tankini or 2 piece and you need a larger top or bottom, and you’re two sizes? Frustrating right?

Maybe you need support than traditional bathing suits offer…Whether you’re plus size or not plus size, there’s a bathing suit store that you have GOT to hear about. CustomMadeSwimwear.com is a store you may want to bookmark.

First you pick out the style that you want…and there are a ton of styles…next you pick out the color of your bathing suit. There are a lot of choices that range from light to dark to pattern to fabulous. Lastly, let them know your size. You’ll order your top and bottom separately, or your one piece let them know your one size…either way, it’s a site worth checking out if you’re hard to fit, or you’re looking for a great unique plus size bathing suit.

Not many plus size clothing stores in this vacation spot. I’m on vacation this week, and on the entire island, there are only 2 small places that cater to plus size women. One doesn’t exactly cater to us, there’s a small section politely tucked in the back of the store, but at least they have sizes up to 3x, which is more than most the stores here have.

There is a plus size clothing store down the block though, and I was able to shop for not only cute clothing, but it was on sale, 50% off, which is a good thing, seeing as I was still able to do a bit of damage! I spent $200 but I ended up with 8 pieces, so I’m not upset about that. I picked up 3 pair of capris, 3 cute shirts, a sweatshirt and a sundress.

Retailers, take note….we have money, and we like to shop too. You’re missing a big segment of the population- women looking for clothing that not only fits a plus size woman, but women who have money to spend and are often overlooked.

Interesting note on the plus size clothing stores I visited this week– small dressing rooms, and racks too close together. It’s hard to squeeze between clothing racks spaced way too close apart…and the dressing room, if it’s all ready small, while I appreciate that you put a small chair in the room, it took up half of the dressing room, which made it way too tight of a fit for this shopper!

Anyway, just wanted to send a shout out and say….there are plus size clothing stores in malls, but in vacation spots, they can often be very hard to find. It’s a great market for those looking for a niche– retailers take note..cha-ching…underserved market, women desperate to find nice clothing at affordable prices…

ta-ta…off to enjoy the scenery of the area
